Rita and Michael's Wedding

Last weekend, we had the pleasure of going to Rita and Michael's traditional Jewish wedding in Kansas City. It was a flawless, gorgeous event on a beautiful fall Sunday evening.

My little envelope that I made to house our gift to the couple.

This is the first moment that Michael saw Rita. We were included in the ketubah signing which is held right before the wedding with close friends and family. We all circled around the couple as they signed their handmade ketubah which will hang in their home for the rest of their lives as a symbol of their marriage. It was really special to be a part of.

The chuppah is held over the couple by their family while say their vows.

The reception was in downtown KC at a loft gallery space called Studio B. We started in a little room with appetizers and cocktails. Then the couple arrived behind the band as they processed through the room. The band was the Grand Marquis, which is one of mine and Chris's favorite bands to swing dance to. Then we all followed Rita and Michael into the other larger gallery space to beautifully set tables and a gorgeous atmosphere overall. It was such a fun wedding!
