Bishop's Crazy Castle

Chris and I just got back from a wonderful week long trip to the Southwest. We drove, and on the way there we stopped at Bishop's Castle in Colorado in the San Isabel National Forest. I used to come here in college on crazy road trips with friends. It was good to be back in these mountains and to show Chris around. Bishop's Castle is truly a sight to see. Jim Bishop has been building this castle by hand, by himself and has been working on it for over 40 years! You can climb all over it, it's wild!

That's his scaffolding!

The bridge to nowhere. (Not finished yet.)

Do you see me? Scary!

  1. I have never been to Bishop's Castle but have always wanted to go. I'm only about 3 hours away. It looks awesome!
