Korean Night

Josh chose Korean for the theme this time. We wanted it to be extra awesome because we had a photographer and reporter come over to interview us for the local newspaper. The food was fantastic! The article was well written and a nice portrayal of what our dinner club is all about. Here are a few pics that aren't that great but you get the idea...

And if you want to read the article it is posted one before this post.

My kimchi.

Tiny kitchen!

Confused dog amidst chaos in the kitchen.

Me and Josh dancing at the end of the night. This is usually bound to happen since we both love to dance.

We're famous for being foodies!

Follow this link to see the full article in the newspaper about our Foodie Club! Super cool! I'll post my own photos later.

Cute little yummy eggs.

I bought these local quail eggs from The Merc the other day with no idea of what I was going to do with them. They are just so cute that I couldn't resist them! I fried the tiny little things up in my tiny little cast iron skillet and put them atop of brown rice, chorizo and diced red bell peppers. Then topped that off with some delicious green salsa. It was a really good meal, if I do say so myself.

p.s. Turns out quail eggs taste pretty much the same as chicken eggs. I'm just sayin...

Celebrate!

Every year for the last 7 years we've thrown a big holiday party. Each year is more fun than the last and each year we stay up later and later. This night is one that I really look forward, when I get to spend time with all of our super awesome friends catching up and eating good food! Happy Holidays!

Our invitation was drawn by Chris and was a tribute to a scene in Breakfast at Tiffany's.

A little "make your own snack mix" bar.

A few different mustards for mini ham sandwiches.

My friend, Leah, made all of the yummy desserts. Thank you Leah!

I can't believe I have this many glasses! They sure come in handy!

Ready to get this party started!

My Heritage.

Every time I go home to my parents house in Dallas I'm reminded where my collecting habits come from. My parents have AMAZING collections. Here are a few photos of their many treasures and a few of my niece, Hadley, with her new best friends, Uncie Red and Grandpa.

My mom's gourmet Thanksgiving feast. Yum!

My dad's brandy glass collection. He remembers where he purchased each and every one.

Lots of crystal and silver in the house. I definitely have an appreciation for this.

My grandfathers war memorabilia.

The front patio gets used for dinner often. Texas weather.

My dads model car collection.

Hadley and Grandpa (my dad).
